Welcome to the Project Pages application.
The intent of this project is to allow my fellow product managers to create a
page or two for their
various products. Currently, we have a web server with all our products in
individual sites. This works
but it clutters DNS with alias names (one for each product and we have a
shitload of products.)
and it wastes resources because we create a 50MB share for each site and one or
maybe two pages
per site.
This can, of course, be adapted to other uses. For instance, you can use it to
allow a person to update
a page without using ftp. Maybe a weekly news letter or event status. I hosted a
fishing website once
and they essentially had me on call to update the daily standings for a fishing
tournament. This would
have been ideal for that.
In short, you can use it as you see fit.
The application uses a master page so to change the entire look and feel, create
a master page called
default.Master and place it in the MasterPages folder overwriting the existing
master page. That's it, that
simple.
This application uses a multiview control with several views.To change this
